Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this new brick thing, ya know, the kind they use for buildin’ houses and stuff. I ain’t no expert, but I heard folks talkin’, and I seen some things, so I’ll tell ya what I know.
This ain’t your grandpa’s brick, that’s for sure. They call it “NewBrick,” fancy name, huh? Sounds like somethin’ out of a city slicker magazine. But from what I gather, it’s supposed to be better than them old heavy bricks.
What’s so special ’bout it?
Well, first off, they say it’s light. Real light. Like, a whole lot lighter than them regular bricks. I heard tell it’s only a tiny bit of the weight of a normal brick. Imagine that! You wouldn’t break your back haulin’ these things around. That’s good news for the fellas doin’ the buildin’, I reckon.
They also say it looks just like a regular brick, ya know, the same size and all. Same bumpy feelin’ too. So, it ain’t gonna look all weird and outta place on your house. It’ll still look like a good, solid brick wall, but without all that heavy weight.
- Light as a feather (well, almost!)
- Looks like a real brick
- Easier to work with
Now, I ain’t sure what it’s made of, some kinda fancy stuff they cook up in a factory, I guess. They say it’s got somethin’ in it to keep the house warm in the winter and cool in the summer, which sounds mighty nice to me. Saves ya on them heatin’ bills, ya know? That’s always a good thing.
How do they put it on?
From what I understand, it’s pretty much the same as puttin’ up any other brick. You slap some of that cement stuff on, stick the brick on, and keep goin’ till you got a wall. But seein’ as it’s lighter, it’s probably a whole lot easier and faster to do. Less strain on your arms and back, that’s for sure. I heard someone mention that with old bricks you gotta do some chipping and hammering to get ’em out. But with this new stuff they have other ways of setting it up, I guess.
I heard a fella sayin’ somethin’ ’bout how this NewBrick stuff is good for makin’ new walls inside your house too, not just the outside. You could spruce up your livin’ room or somethin’, make it look all fancy. Or maybe you wanna add a little wall in the basement, make a workshop or somethin’. This stuff would be perfect for that, bein’ so light and easy to handle.
Is it better than the old stuff?
Well, that depends on who you ask, I reckon. Some folks are set in their ways, they like the old heavy bricks, say they’re stronger or somethin’. But I figure if somethin’ is easier to use and saves ya some money on heatin’, then it’s worth lookin’ into. Times change, ya know? We gotta keep up with the new ways of doin’ things. This here NewBrick might just be the future of buildin’, who knows?
Where can you get it?
Now, that’s a good question. I ain’t seen it down at the local hardware store, but I reckon you could find it online or at one of them big buildin’ supply places in the city. You might have to ask around a bit, see who’s sellin’ it in your area. But if you’re plannin’ on buildin’ somethin’, or fixin’ up your house, it might be worth checkin’ out this NewBrick stuff. Might save ya some time and trouble in the long run. And that’s always a good thing, ain’t it?
Anyways, that’s all I know ’bout this NewBrick. Like I said, I ain’t no expert, just tellin’ ya what I heard and seen. You wanna know more, you go ask them fancy builders or look it up on that there internet thingamajig. They’ll tell ya all the fancy details.
But remember what I told you: Light, looks good, and keeps ya warm.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. They get mighty restless this time of day.
