Well now, let me tell ya, findin’ bees in your brick wall ain’t no picnic. Them little buzzers, they think they’re so smart, sneakin’ in and buildin’ their home right where you don’t want ’em. But don’t you fret none, we’ll get ’em sorted.
First off, you gotta figure out if it’s really bees you got there. Sometimes, it could be wasps or hornets, and them fellers, they’re a whole different story. Bees, they’re kinda fuzzy and busy themselves with flowers. Wasps, they’re skinny and mean, always lookin’ for a fight. Hornets, well, they’re just plain nasty, bigger than wasps and twice as grumpy.
So, if it’s bees, and they’re in your brick wall, you gotta be careful. Don’t go pokin’ around with a stick, that’s for sure. You’ll just make ’em mad, and a swarm of angry bees ain’t nothin’ you wanna mess with. I heard tell of folks gettin’ stung somethin’ awful, swoll up like a toad, so you best listen to me.
Now, there’s stuff you can buy, sprays and such, that’ll kill them bees. But you gotta be smart about it. You can’t just spray it willy-nilly. You gotta wait till nighttime, when them bees are all sleepy and tucked in. Then you go and spray that stuff right into the hole where they’re comin’ and goin’. Make sure you get the foamy kind, like shaving cream, that stuff sticks better and gets all over them bees.
- First, find where them bees are getting in and out. Look for little holes or cracks in the wall.
- Next, get yourself some bee spray, the foamy kind is best. You can get it at the store, just ask for somethin’ to kill bees.
- Then, wait till night when it’s cool and dark. That’s when them bees are all tucked in.
- Spray that foamy stuff right into the hole, fill it right up.
- After a few days, when you’re sure them bees are gone, you can seal up the hole. You can use cement or caulk, whatever you got handy.
But hold on, hold on. Before you go sprayin’ and sealin’, think about it for a minute. Bees, they’re important. They help the flowers grow, and we need flowers for the fruits and vegetables and all that good stuff. So, if you can, maybe try movin’ them bees instead of killin’ ’em. There’s folks that do that, beekeepers they call ’em. They’ll come and take them bees away and give ’em a new home. That way, the bees are happy, and you’re happy, everybody’s happy.
Now, if you can’t move ’em, and you gotta kill ’em, well, then you do what you gotta do. But after you spray, you gotta seal up that hole good and tight. Otherwise, them bees, or some other critters, they’ll just come right back. And you’ll be right back where you started, scratchin’ your head and wonderin’ what to do.
And listen here, you might wanna think about puttin’ up some mesh over your vents and air bricks. Them little holes are like an open door for bees and wasps, and even mice! You can get wire mesh, the kind they use for screen doors, and tack it up over them holes. That’ll keep the critters out, but let the air in. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
So, there you have it. A bit of common sense, a little bit of elbow grease, and you can get rid of them bees in your brick wall. Just remember to be careful, be smart, and think about the bees before you go doin’ somethin’ you’ll regret. It ain’t always easy, but nothin’ ever is, is it?
One more thing, if you’re not comfortable doin’ it yourself, there’s no shame in callin’ someone who knows what they are doing. Sometimes, it’s best to leave it to the professionals. They have the tools and the know-how to get the job done safely and efficiently.
