Alright, let’s gab about these here shell bricks. Now, I ain’t no fancy builder or nothin’, but I’ve seen my fair share of bricks in my time, ya know? Used to be, a brick was just a brick. Hard, heavy thing you built stuff with. But now, they got all sorts of newfangled kinds.
I heard tell of some bricks they call “Standard Bricks”. Sounds important, huh? They say these ones can hold up against fire for a good long while, like 90 minutes or somethin’. Made of some kinda concrete and rock mix, I reckon. Strong stuff, gotta be, to keep a fire back that long.
Then there’s these “Quick Bricks”. Now, these ain’t for holdin’ up nothin’ heavy, they say. Too light, I guess. Maybe for somethin’ like puttin’ up a little wall in the garden, not for a real house or nothin’. Makes sense, I s’pose. Not everything needs to be built to last forever, just like them weeds in my backyard.
- Standard Brick: Tough and fire-resistant, for when you need somethin’ real sturdy.
- Quick Brick: Light and easy, for when you just need a little somethin’ done.
And get this, there’s even bricks called “ULTRA Brick” and “Speed-E Bricks”! Them city folk sure do like fancy names, don’t they? These ones, they come in all sorts of colors, I hear. And different sizes too! Imagine that, bricks in different colors! Back in my day, a brick was just… well, brick-colored! These ULTRA ones, they’re about three inches high, they say. And the Speed-E ones, they come in that size, and a bigger one too, like six inches. Good for matchin’ up with other bricks, I guess. Faster building, maybe? Kids these days, always in a hurry.
I even heard someone talkin’ ‘bout somethin’ called “Bricklink”. Sounded like a place where you buy and sell bricks online. But not just any bricks, mind you, them little plastic LEGO bricks! My grandbaby plays with them things all the time. Tiny little things, they are. Makes a mess, I tell ya. But kept her busy and silent. Can’t complain much.
Now, a fella told me a brick is just a man-made thing, somethin’ solid. Makes sense, I reckon. He said houses and roofs and even turtle shells are kinda like bricks. Solid, ya know? He even talked about things like eggshells and rocks bein’ like bricks too. Said some bricks are made of shale, which is some kinda rock. Guess it all boils down to bein’ strong and keepin’ things together, one way or another.
Then there’s this whole other thing with bullets. Apparently, they call a box of them little “22LR” bullets a “brick” too! Imagine that! Five hundred of them little things packed in a box, enough to make your ears ring for a month. But they ain’t for buildin’ nothin’, mind you. Unless you’re buildin’ up trouble, I guess.
So, there you have it. More about these here shell bricks, or whatever they wanna call ‘em these days, than you ever thought you needed to know. From tough fire-resistant ones to fancy colored ones, to little plastic ones for kids, and even boxes of bullets. It’s a whole brick world out there, I tell ya. Just goes to show, even somethin’ as simple as a brick ain’t so simple after all. And that’s the truth, even if I ain’t no builder nor scholar.
