Okay, so, I was trying to find some kiln bricks the other day, and let me tell you, it was quite the journey.
First, I started by looking up “kiln bricks near me” online. I figured that would be the easiest way to find what I needed. I found a bunch of different websites, but most of them were just general information or big online marketplaces. One of them, called BrickLink, seemed pretty cool, though. It’s like this huge online place where people buy and sell LEGO stuff. I mean, who knew, right? Not exactly what I was looking for, but still interesting.
Then I stumbled upon this company called Nelissen Bricks. Their website talked about “natural, sustainable building” and having “a brick for each style,” like classic and modern. It sounded pretty fancy, but I wasn’t sure if they had the kind of bricks I needed for a kiln. I kept looking. That’s not what I am looking for.
I also saw something about this PRISMA statement. It’s supposed to help people check out reviews, especially those systematic reviews, whatever that means. I guess it’s important for research and stuff, but it didn’t really help me find kiln bricks. There are also thousands of no-kill communities. I love the idea, but it has nothing to do with my bricks.
I checked out Instagram too, and I found this page called @kibblenbricks. This is a store on Bricklink for some rare parts. 724 posts already. I don’t think this is what I want.
Oh, and there was also something about this movie, “The Guns of Navarone.” It’s some old war movie from 1961. I’m not sure how that got mixed in with my search, but it did. Maybe I will watch that later.
Finally, I found this place called Brickhunter. Their website said something like, “Helping people buy bricks happily is what we’re all about.” They talked about having a team with over 200 years of experience. That sounded promising, so I decided to give them a call.
Guess what? They actually had kiln bricks! I talked to this really nice person who explained everything to me and helped me figure out exactly what I needed. I ended up ordering the bricks from them, and they arrived a few days later. I didn’t expect much but it turns out a pretty good experience.
My advice for finding kiln bricks:
- Start by searching online, but be prepared to look through a lot of different websites.
- Don’t be afraid to call local brick suppliers and ask if they have what you need. I mean, just give them a call.
- If you’re not sure what you need, ask for help! The people at these places usually know a lot about bricks. But make sure you have done some research, too.
It took a little bit of effort, but I finally got my kiln bricks. Success!
