Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “brick grilling” thing all over the internet, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I mean, who doesn’t love a good grilling hack, right?
Getting Started
First things first, I gathered my supplies. Obviously, I needed bricks. I just grabbed a couple of regular old red bricks from my backyard – nothing fancy. Then, I needed something to grill. I went with some chicken thighs because they’re cheap and cook pretty fast.

The Build
Next up, I built my little grilling station. I basically just stacked the bricks to make some * rocket science here, just some basic stacking to get the height I needed.
The Grilling Process
I fired up my grill. I have a basic charcoal grill, so I got the coals nice and * I took my chicken thighs and season that with salt, pepper, and some paprika – keeping it simple.I placed the chicken on the grill, and I carefully placed the food I was grilling on top of it.
The Results
- The pros: It actually worked! The chicken cooked evenly and had a nice, slightly smoky flavor. Plus, it was kind of fun to do something different.
- The cons: Honestly, it was a bit of a pain. It took some fiddling to get the bricks arranged just right, and it wasn’t the most stable setup. I was a little worried the whole thing would collapse.
And, the taste is really good!
So, there you have it – my brick grilling adventure. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely a fun experiment. Would I do it again? Maybe. If I’m feeling adventurous and have some extra time on my hands. But for a regular weeknight dinner? Probably not.
