Okay, here’s my blog post about that brick calculator:
So, the other day I was figuring out how many bricks I needed for this little wall I’m building in my backyard. I was like, “Ugh, math,” but then I remembered there’s gotta be a calculator for this online, right?

I hopped on my computer and did a quick search. Yep, tons of brick calculators popped up. I picked one that looked pretty straightforward – no fancy stuff, just the basics.
Getting Started
First, I needed to measure the wall. I grabbed my trusty tape measure and got the length and height. I wrote that down on a scrap piece of paper so I wouldn’t forget. Remember write down.
Inputting the Numbers
The calculator I used asked for:
- Wall Length: I put in my measurement in feet.
- Wall Height: Same thing, feet.
- Brick Size: It had some standard sizes, and I just picked the one that matched the bricks I bought.
- Mortar Joint Thickness: I’d guess I choose 10mm for this one.
The Result!
I hit “Calculate,” and boom! It gave me the total number of bricks I needed. It even added a little extra for waste, which is smart because I always mess up a few.
Seriously, it took like two minutes to figure out. Now I’m not the best at these kinds of manual * this makes me look way more professional than I really am. It’s super handy, and I am very happy with the result.
