Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “brick diamond” thing, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. I saw some cool designs online and thought, “Hey, I can do that!” Famous last words, right?
Getting Started
First, I gathered my stuff. I’m talking about:

- A bunch of those LEGO bricks – you know, the regular rectangular ones.
- Some of those flat plate pieces for the base.
- And a whole lot of patience (which I almost ran out of, by the way).
I started by building a simple, flat square base. Nothing fancy, just something to build on. I figured I’d start small and work my way up. So, I built the square base.
Building it Up
Then came the tricky part – making the diamond shape. I started layering the bricks, making each layer a bit smaller than the last. It’s kind of like building a pyramid, but with a diamond shape instead of a square one. I kept adding rows, making sure each one was centered, and slowly but surely, it started to look like a diamond.
I hit a few snags. Sometimes the bricks wouldn’t line up perfectly, and I had to take apart sections and rebuild them. It was frustrating, to say the least. There were moments I wanted to just chuck the whole thing across the room, but I took a deep breath and kept going.
The Final Result
After a good few hours of fiddling and adjusting, I finally had something that resembled a brick diamond! It wasn’t perfect, mind you. There were a few gaps here and there, and it wasn’t as smooth as I’d hoped, but it was mine. I had built it.
I placed the finishing brick, stepped back, and admired my handiwork. It looked decent! I’d say, for a first try, it was a success. I think, with a little more practice, I can get these diamonds looking really sharp.
So, yeah, that’s my brick diamond adventure. It was a bit of a challenge, but hey, who doesn’t love a good challenge? Especially, with the satisfaction of building it yourself. I definitely learned a thing or two, and I’m already thinking about my next brick project!
