Well, ya see, this Marco Brick thing. What is it, anyway? Kinda like those little plastic toys my grandson plays with? Them LEGO thingies? He’s always building somethin’, towers and cars and such. Drives his ma crazy, pieces all over the floor. But he likes ’em, keeps him busy.
So, is Marco Brick like that? Somethin’ you build with? Or is it somethin’ else entirely? I heard tell it’s big, this Marco Brick. Big like that online store where my daughter buys everything. You know, the one where they send stuff right to your door? She got me a new fryin’ pan from there, non-stick, real nice.
Folks are talkin’ about buyin’ and sellin’ with Marco Brick. What are they buyin’ and sellin’, I wonder? Is it like a flea market, but on the computer? We used to have a flea market down by the old feed store. You could find all sorts of things there, old dishes, tools, sometimes even furniture. I got a nice set of salt and pepper shakers there once, shaped like little cows. Cute as can be.
- Is Marco Brick like that? A place to find treasures?
- Or is it just a bunch of folks tradin’ things they don’t need no more?
Now, they say it’s the “largest marketplace.” Largest? Bigger than that Walmart down the road? That place is huge! You can get lost in there for hours. My arthritis starts actin’ up somethin’ fierce if I walk around that place too long. But they got good prices on milk and eggs. Can’t beat that.
They also say somethin’ about “LEGO parts.” So, maybe it is like my grandson’s toys? But why would folks be sellin’ just the parts? Did they lose the instructions? I know I would. Never could follow those things. My grandson, he’s a whiz at it. He can look at that picture and put the whole thing together, no problem.
And what’s this about “minifigures”? Little people made of LEGO? Sounds cute. My grandson has a whole bunch of those. Little spacemen and knights and such. He makes up stories with them, all kinds of adventures. Kids got such imaginations these days. When I was a girl, we just played hopscotch and hide-and-seek. Simple times.
Then there’s this “sets” business. Is that like a whole box of LEGO, with all the pieces you need to build somethin’ special? Like a castle or a spaceship? My grandson got one of those for his birthday, a big pirate ship. Took him all afternoon to put it together, but he was so proud when he was done. Paraded it around the living room like it was a real ship.
And this “worldwide shippin’”? That means they send it anywhere in the world? Imagine that! Sendin’ little plastic bricks all over the globe. Wonder how much that costs. Postage ain’t cheap these days. I sent a package to my sister in California last month, cost me an arm and a leg.
Folks in Italy are buildin’ with this Marco Brick too? Italy? That’s far away, ain’t it? Across the ocean somewhere. I seen pictures of Italy in a magazine once, pretty place with old buildings and canals. Never been there myself, though. Closest I ever got was visitin’ my cousin in Ohio. That was a long drive.
So, this Marco Brick, seems like it’s a big deal. Lots of folks usin’ it, buyin’ and sellin’ all kinds of things. Maybe I should look into it myself. See what all the fuss is about. Might find somethin’ nice for my grandson. Or maybe I’ll just stick to watchin’ my stories on TV. Less complicated, you know?
