Alright, so you wanna build a house, a modern house, with them bricks, huh? Well, let me tell ya, it ain’t as simple as pilin’ up rocks like we used to do back in the day. But it ain’t rocket science neither.
First off, bricks, they’re good, real good. They last a long time, like them old houses you see standin’ strong after a hundred years. But, they ain’t cheap, ya hear? Gonna cost ya a pretty penny more than that plastic siding stuff. And, if it gets too wet, they can get all moldy, and them plants, like that ivy stuff, can mess ‘em up somethin’ fierce.
Now, about this modern house thing. Them fancy folks, they like things open, ya know? Big windows, so the sun can shine in. They don’t like a bunch of walls choppin’ up the place. They use colors that ain’t too loud, kinda like the dirt and the rocks, ya know? And they use wood, and that smooth concrete stuff, and stones inside their houses.
The furniture, it ain’t all fussy and frilly. It’s simple, plain, not a lot of curlicues and such. And these young folks, they got all these fancy gadgets, “smart home” they call it. Lights that turn on by themselves, and things that talk to ya. They even got secret places to put all their junk, hidden away so ya don’t see it. They call that “integrated storage solutions”. Sounds fancy, huh?
When they build with bricks now, they don’t just stack ‘em solid. They make like a sandwich, with air in the middle, or they stuff it with that fluffy stuff, insulation they call it, to keep the heat in durin’ winter and the heat out durin’ summer. They use these metal things, “wall ties” they are called, to hold it all together.
You can find all sorts of fancy house plans if you go lookin’. Lots of folks makin’ a livin’ drawin’ up pretty pictures of houses. Architects, they call ‘em. They’ll help you figure out where to put the kitchen and the privy and all that. There’s folks that can show you thousands of plans and help you find just what you need.
- Think about how much money you got to spend. Don’t go breakin’ the bank on somethin’ you can’t afford.
- Look at lots of pictures. Get ideas. See what you like.
- Make sure it’s gonna last. You don’t want somethin’ that’s gonna fall apart in a few years.
- And make it comfortable. It’s gotta be a place you wanna be, a place you call home.
So, ya see, buildin’ a modern house with bricks ain’t so hard. Just gotta think about what ya want, what ya need, and how much ya can spend. And don’t be afraid to ask for help. There’s plenty of folks out there who know a thing or two about buildin’ houses.
Remember that what they like now is what they call “contemporary exterior” and “modern home design,” that’s what you tell them folks when you lookin’ for ideas and stuff. They got pictures and everything! You can find all sorts of ideas for the outside of the house, ya know, the part everyone sees. And remember, this ain’t just about lookin’ good, its gotta feel good too. A house is more than just bricks and windows, it’s where you live, where you make your memories. So make it somethin’ special, make it somethin’ you’ll love for years to come.
And don’t forget about the yard! A nice yard makes a house look even better. Maybe plant some flowers, or a tree. And a porch is always nice, somewhere to sit and watch the world go by. But that’s a whole ‘nother story for another day.
So, go on now, get to plannin’ and buildin’. And don’t forget what I told ya. Bricks are good, but they ain’t cheap. Modern is simple, but comfortable. And a house ain’t just a house, it’s a home. Now you go make yourself one heck of a residential architecture.
