Alright, let’s talk about them bricks, you know, the ones they use to build houses. Are they fireproof? Well, that’s what we’re here to figure out, ain’t it?
Now, from what I hear, they make them bricks in a real hot fire, like a furnace or somethin’. So, you’d think they can stand the heat, right? Makes sense to me. If somethin’’s born in fire, it probably ain’t gonna be scared of a little flame, huh?
They say these bricks, they don’t catch fire. They call it “non-combustible.” Big word, but it just means they don’t burn. That’s a good thing, real good. If your house is made of them, and a fire starts outside, like from them dry leaves or maybe your neighbor’s grill gettin’ outta hand, the fire ain’t gonna just jump right through the walls.
- Think about it, them bricks been through a furnace, a real scorcher.
- A little fire from a burnin’ bush ain’t nothin’ compared to that.
- That’s why they use ’em for houses, makes it safer, I reckon.
I heard tell of a test they did, a real bad fire, hot as heck, lasted a whole hour. And them bricks? They stood strong, didn’t crumble or nothin’. That’s pretty tough, I tell ya. That’s why the buildin’ fellas, they like usin’ them bricks. Keeps things safe, see?
Now, some folks, they put that plastic stuff on their houses, vinyl they call it. Pretty stuff, I guess, but it ain’t like brick. I’ve seen that stuff melt just from the sun, gettin’ all warped and bubbly. Can you imagine what a real fire would do to it? Brick, though, it just sits there, tough as nails, no matter how hot it gets. At least, that’s what they say.
But, and there’s always a but, ain’t there? If the fire gets real, real hot, like a big inferno, even bricks can have a hard time. They might not burn up like wood, but they can get damaged, crack and break and stuff. It’s like when you put a cold glass in hot water, sometimes it cracks, right? Same kinda thing, I guess.
So, are bricks fireproof? Well, mostly, yeah. They ain’t gonna catch fire like some other stuff, that’s for sure. They’ll keep a small fire from spreadin’, no problem. But if it’s a big fire, a real monster, well, nothin’’s totally safe then. But bricks, they’ll give you a fightin’ chance, that’s for sure. They’re tough, they are. Built to last, built to keep you safe from the heat.
And that’s the long and short of it. Bricks are good, real good, for keepin’ fire out. They ain’t perfect, nothin’ is, but they’re a darn sight better than a lot of other stuff they use to build houses these days. So, if you want somethin’ strong, somethin’ that can stand up to the heat, you can’t go wrong with them bricks. That’s what I think, anyway.
Now, don’t go quotin’ me on all this, I’m just tellin’ ya what I’ve heard and what makes sense to me. But if you ask me, bricks are a pretty safe bet when it comes to fire. They’ve been around a long time, and folks keep usin’ ‘em, so that’s gotta mean somethin’, right?
Anyways, that’s enough talk about bricks for one day. I gotta go make some supper. But you remember what I told ya, bricks are tough, bricks are good, and they’ll keep you safe from the fire, most of the time anyhow.
