Alright, let’s talk about them Endicott bricks, you know, the ones they use for houses and stuff. I ain’t no fancy builder or nothin’, but I’ve seen enough houses go up in my time to know a thing or two about bricks.
Now, these Endicott folks, they been makin’ bricks for a long, long time. Since, what, the 1950s? That’s what I heard, anyway. Some family, the Judds, they own the whole shebang. Good for them, I say. Makin’ somethin’ useful, not like them city folk with their fancy gadgets.
Bricks, well, they ain’t all the same, you see. Some are for the outside, the pretty part you see from the road. They call ‘em “facing bricks,” I think. Makes sense, I guess. Then there’s them strong ones, the “engineering bricks.” They’re for, you know, holdin’ things up, like the real heavy-duty stuff. You don’t want your house fallin’ down, do ya?
I heard tell some other brick company, Acme, charges a pretty penny for their bricks. Hundreds of dollars for a thousand bricks! Can you believe that? Course, Endicott probably ain’t givin’ ‘em away neither, but I reckon they’re good quality. You get what you pay for, that’s what my old man always said.
- Strong Bricks: Gotta have bricks that’ll last, you know, through wind and rain.
- Pretty Bricks: Nobody wants an ugly house, so the outside bricks gotta look nice.
- Lots of Bricks: Takes a whole mess of bricks to build a house, so you need a good supplier.
Now, if you’re lookin’ to buy some Endicott bricks, I reckon you gotta find a dealer. They got places all over, I hear. Just gotta ask around or maybe look it up on that internet thingy. My grandkids are always fiddlin’ with that thing. Says you can find anythin’ on there. Probably can find bricks, too.
And speaking of findin’ stuff, they got all sorts of bricks, not just the regular ones. They got these thin brick thingies, “brick slips” they call ‘em. Handy for makin’ things look like brick without buildin’ a whole wall. Like for puttin’ around your fireplace or somethin’. And they even deliver ‘em right to your door! Ain’t that somethin’? Back in my day, you had to haul everything yourself.
Some folks even use bricks for their yards, you know, for makin’ paths and stuff. “Landscaping,” they call it. Sounds fancy, but it’s just makin’ your yard look nice. You can use them brick pavers for that, I think. Flat bricks, easy to walk on. Probably keeps your shoes cleaner too, not like walkin’ in the mud after a good rain.
So, if you’re buildin’ somethin’ or just fixin’ up your place, you might need some Endicott bricks. They seem to be a good bunch, makin’ bricks for a long time. Just remember to get the right kind of bricks for the job, and don’t go buyin’ no cheap junk. You want somethin’ that’ll last, somethin’ that’ll stand the test of time, just like an old farmhouse that’s been standin’ for a hundred years. Endicott bricks, they just might be the ticket.
And one more thing, if you’re not sure what you need, just ask somebody! Don’t be shy. Go to the brick place and talk to them folks. They’ll know what you need. Better to ask a dumb question than to make a dumb mistake, that’s what I always say.
So there you have it, just my two cents on them Endicott bricks. Good bricks, I reckon. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I got some chores to do.
