How to Install and Maintain Corundum Brick Lining in Industrial Applications

Corundum bricks are high-strength bricks with high melting points, poor. viscosity，excellent balance and physical and mechanical properties and strong oxidation resistance, . The corundum brick lining is mainly composed of corundum oxide. The following are the main installation and maintenance methods:

1.Prepare the necessary equipment before the corundum brick lining installation, such as drilling equipment，bending machine，rotary kiln，etc.

2.Maintain the equipment in good condition during the corundum brick lining installation, and pay attention to the prevention and repair of the equipment damage.

3.During the corundum brick lining operation, the following safety measures should be taken: ① wear gloves when handling the hot parts;② avoid touching the hot parts with bare hands;③ do not enter the oven or kiln at the same time as the furnace operation;④ clean and replace oven tools regularly.

4.After the corundum brick lining is installed, it needs to be fired at a high temperature for 2 to 3 days to complete the calcination process. During the firing process, the following safety measures should be taken: ① keep the corundum bricks away from the heat source;② do not touch the hot parts;③ turn off the oven after finishing the firing process;④ stop working for 2 to 3 minutes before the furnace can be restarted.

In order to improve the strength，radiation heat insulation performance and resistance to chemical attack of corundum bricks， some new materials have been developed and put into practical use. For example, yttria feldspar oxide ceramic brick and lanthanum lead titanate-ceria block corundum bricks.
